Despite all the other reasons to say no, The Scream was done by Edvard Munch, not Van Gogh, so unless there' s a joke I' m missing, I' m offended solely on the basis of art appreciation.

haha I don' t think you have to be from Germany to not want to wear this. Here' s the deal, the actual art is actually very nicely done, only thing I could say is the box shape could be altered but I like the black ink woodcut style. But as for subject manner, not only did you incorrectly say it' s a van go' o' gh which it' s not, but what are you saying with the concept?

Giving the artist the benefit of the doubt and assuming this is a criticism of Hitler, I still don' t get it. The intended message is not obvious enough, and people would be offended not just to wear it, but to see someone else wearing it.

HAHA thats awesome! The only thing wrong about this is taht some people might find this offensive excluding if your Jewish or not. The original "The Scream" art was from Edvard Munch, he was born in Løten, Norway. Its a nice idea, but a lot of people will down this shirt. And by down, I mean hate.

Why would you ever make a shirt with Hitler on it? Can you really imagine someone saying "Hey man, nice Hitler shirt."?
The design is well done but seriously, dude. That' s Hitler.

Would NEVER wear anything with Hitler on it. I' m guessing you' ve heard enough of that by now.
Interesting thing is people will wear stuff with Mao or Stalin on it...do they realize the attrocities that occurred during their regimes?

I think it' s really funny, especially on a pick t-shirt. But yeah, but title. I thought the shadow was Van Gogh running and it was like "Hitler, let Van GO!" but um I guess not. But yeah, people find this offensive sooo maybe you could do something to make it funny? I dunno...

I think you are all oversensitive, shallow imbeciles and you are the kind of people that I found the most irritating in life. To say you "would never wear a shirt with Hitler on it" exemplifies stupidity and ignorance in the purest form.
Would you have a problem wearing a shirt that said "Hitler was a bad person" with his picture on it? You have to stop being so lazy with your thoughts and learn to analyze things within their contexts. Clearly, the artist did not mean this as some form of Neo-Nazism propaganda, so why would it be offensive?

Excellent argument. I' ve always thought that a great way to sway people is to start off by calling them imbeciles and then go on to confuse tenses in your writing. The latter really drives home the fact that you are quite articulate and not at all lazy yourself.
You are right that people need not be so trigger-happy and learn to analyze things in context, but do you really think that wearing this shirt would be welcomed in a society where there is no time to explain or presume what the artist' s intentions are? We live a culture that disects and decodes messages so quickly there would never be a chance to address the underlying point of the imagery.
Knowing that I' m an imbecile, perhaps you can tell me how the 80 year-old Holocaust survivor, who continues to work at our corner store, could be persuaded to disassociate her experiences at Bergen Belsen and have a nice little chat about the iconic image on the shirt?
I doubt anybody who objects to the shirt would have a problem wearing an "I hate Hitler" shirt should they be so desperate . People are objecting to the shirt for a number of reasons some of which I can only guess. I would never wear the shirt out of respect for survivors and their families I wouldn' t wear the shirt because I value human life and, finally, I wouldn' t wear this shirt because a picture of someone rendered on a shirt or poster or what have you, without any clear statement in words is, more often than not, considered to be an endorsement of, not only the person, but their values.
Hope that helps you understand an imbecile' s point of view.
Btw, the phrase "neo-Nazism propoganda" is just poor english. You meant to say "neo-Nazi propoganda".

I feel like I have to reiterate this, Van Gogh didn' t paint The Scream, it was Edvard Munch.
